Doug has been in the financial services industry since 1986 and in executive recruitment since 1989. He joined Solomon Page's Financial Services Division in 1991 as a Managing Director and works on senior level searches in corporate banking, corporate finance, M&A, principal finance, special situations, trading, sales, research, asset management, capital markets, and corporate and investment banking businesses for major sell- and buy-side clients. Doug is widely respected for his understanding of the talent pool in equity and fixed income including flow and structured credit, rates, derivatives, foreign exchange, capital markets, prime brokerage, and risk management. He conducts searches both locally and internationally.
Prior to his career in executive search, Doug was an investment analyst for an international equity fund manager in New York. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Computer Science from the University of Buffalo.
Jacob specializes in senior-level searches in all relevant job functions within the Asset Management industry as well as in the Wealth Management and Hedge Fund sectors. Jacob has successfully executed a full spectrum of assignments on behalf of clients ranging from small investment boutiques and hedge funds to large, globally-integrated asset management companies. In addition to single placements, Jacob has a particular expertise in asset management team lift outs. Jacob has more than thirty years of financial services experience as an investment manager and an executive search professional.
Before joining Solomon Page, Jacob was Partner at Westwood Partners, a boutique search firm serving the asset management industry. Prior to entering search, Jacob spent ten years in the asset management industry including positions at Paloma Partners, Columbus Circle, and The Boston Company. He began his career in fixed income sales and trading at Salomon Brothers Inc.
Jacob holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and both a BA and MA in Natural Science from the University of Cambridge, U.K.
