Marc Gouran is the Managing Director and Global Practice Leader of Solomon Page, a multi-specialty retained executive search firm with corporate headquarters in New York City. Marc is the founder, architect, and general manager of the Healthcare and Life Sciences division, which he started in 1992.

Marc has personally conducted many senior executive search projects including for CEOs and Presidents, CFOs, regional executives, and top managers in most functional areas, and is considered one of the top executive search consultants in the industry.

Before joining Solomon Page, Marc was a Managing Director of the Healthcare division at The DLR Group, and prior to this, served as Managing Director of the Healthcare division at D.J. Hertz and Associates. Previous to his executive search experience, he worked in the financial services business as a Financial Consultant with Lehman Brothers in New York City.

Marc received his Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. He resides in Hudson Valley, NY and is an active member of the community, supporting local non-profits.

Vic Ippolito has been a senior leader on the Healthcare & Life Sciences team at Solomon Page since 1992. Based in San Diego, Vic’s 25+ years in executive search have been entirely focused on healthcare, employee benefits, and human resources. His primary responsibilities include client management and taking a hands-on approach to leading search engagements.

Solomon Page has made its mark in retained executive search by effectively recruiting senior-level executives for national payors, integrated delivery systems, managed care vendors, medical groups, insurance companies, consulting firms, and pharmaceutical firms.

While the foundation of his search practice has been working with consulting firms, Vic has extensive experience leading searches for leadership positions within HMOs/PPOs, outsourcing organizations, Taft-Hartley welfare funds, and healthcare systems vendors. Most of Vic’s searches focus on positions that own and drive revenue. As technology and innovation continue to shape the employee benefits industry, Vic has led several searches for start-up and high-growth organizations, including Buoy Health, One Medical, Digital Insurance, Extend Health, Consumer Medical, 2nd.MD, Imagine360, Canopy Health, Employer Direct, Access Hope, Personify, Form Health, and Gravie.

Prior to joining Solomon Page, Vic was a lead consultant at a 15-member executive search firm. He directed and assisted with various search engagements in the employee benefits, managed care, risk management, and financial services sectors. Vic led efforts to build the firm’s database and, before being promoted, served as the firm’s research director.

Vic holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with an emphasis in business from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. There, he served on the Alumni Board, overseeing the college’s 10 alumni chapters nationwide, and, along with his wife, was a member of the Parents’ Council. He has also served on the Board of Directors of a San Diego-based community theatre organization.

Steve Marsh is an entrepreneurial executive search firm leader with over 32 years of healthcare recruiting experience. As a Managing Director of Executive Search in the Healthcare & Life Sciences division at Solomon Page, he leads healthcare executive and physician leadership search efforts, serving integrated health systems, AAMC institutions, hospitals, and large medical groups across the nation. Steve has led and overseen hundreds of high-level executive placements.

Steve began his career in 1993 in healthcare search, eventually co-founding what would become one of the largest clinical recruiting firms in the country. He later launched an executive search subsidiary, successfully building a specialized team and conducting executive searches for a diverse portfolio of healthcare clients.

A nationally recognized expert, Steve has been cited in numerous media publications and frequently speaks at healthcare conferences and forums. His expertise spans best practices in healthcare recruiting, workplace culture, diversity and inclusion, and contract negotiation.

Based in Dallas, Texas, Steve enjoys life with his wife, Lynn, and their four children. In his free time, he loves pickleball, golf, and fly fishing.

Megan Berlinger, a Managing Director on the Healthcare & Life Sciences team at Solomon Page, specializes in consulting and leading senior-level retained executive searches. Her expertise spans health systems, Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, AAMC Institutions, and large medical groups.

With 16 years of experience in healthcare leadership, Megan spent 14 years at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where she held key administrative roles, including Heart & Vascular Service Line Administrator and Department Administrator. She began her career with an Administrative Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medicine.

She holds a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Certified in executive coaching, she also serves as an adjunct professor at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.

Megan has been actively involved in national healthcare administration circles, serving as President of the Association of Academic Surgical Administrators (AASA), Editorial Advisor for Cardiovascular Business Magazine, and Membership Director for TechPACT.

Megan resides in Winston-Salem, NC, where she is deeply involved in her community, serving on the board of Westlawn School and previously as Board Chair for the local YMCA. In her free time, she enjoys supporting her two daughters’ activities and cheering on the Carolina Tar Heels.
